Celebrating Four Years at Walther Gardens
Fall has arrived at The Margaret Cleveland, and with it comes one of our favorite times of year at Walther Gardens. Across our historic property, the colors, textures, and traditions of the season have taken over. From pumpkins, mums, and fall plantings to thoughtfully curated finds for the home, garden, and gatherings ahead.
This weekend, we celebrate it all with our Fourth Annual Fall Fest, a day filled with everything we love about the season. Join us Sunday, September 27th from 12–4pm for a day of family activities, seasonal treats, garden inspiration, live jazz with Ed Hrybyk, demonstrations throughout the day,
and plenty of reasons to wander and stay awhile.
Throughout our 12 curated shoppes, fall unfolds in layers. Discover seasonal pieces for entertaining
and decorating, richly textured pillows and throws, beautiful Forever Florals, distinctive objects and gifts, and unexpected treasures selected to make the season at home feel a little more special.
In The Gardener, autumn comes to life with our expanded D. Stevens fine ribbon wall,
Baltimore’s widest selection, alongside fall Forever Florals and seasonal garden finds. Outside,
the nursery is filled with the colors of the season, including fall mums, pumpkins, perennials, shrubs,
trees, and plantings selected to carry the garden beautifully into autumn.
Inside the Farmhouse, warm layers, seasonal accents, and thoughtful finds invite a slower,
cozier way of living. Our expanded children’s collection continues the spirit of
The Little Gardener, with charming pieces and gifts for little ones.
The Pantry welcomes fall with pieces made for gathering, seasonal dishes, serving pieces, utensils, culinary finds, and gifts for the table as we move toward the holidays and the celebrations that bring everyone together.
Set across our historic property, from the 1885 farmhouse and charming cottage to the greenhouse,
gardens, potting shed, and Acre of Wonder, fall at The Margaret Cleveland is meant to be explored.

The Margaret Cleveland is a manifestation of life’s most important things: family, friends, passion, & memories.
With so many stories to tell, we are here for the curious & inquisitive, the thoughtful and engaged.
Founded by Christopher Heller, The Margaret Cleveland takes root in the legacy of his grandmother, Margaret “Margie” Cleveland. Growing up surrounded by her stories and a lifetime of collected treasures from travels around the world, Christopher came to understand the beauty and wonder held within personal artifacts — pieces infused with memory, meaning, and connection.
These early experiences shaped a deep appreciation for objects that tell a story — keepsakes gathered over time and shared with those we meet along the way.
Through his work as Creative Director and founder of the award-winning brand development studio, helium creative, Christopher has spent his career building brands rooted in storytelling. His travels have led him to discover bespoke art, cultural objects, unique furnishings, and curious finds, each chosen not only for its beauty, but for the narrative it carries.
The Margaret Cleveland is an extension of that journey, a place where collected stories,
meaningful objects, and a sense of wonder come together to be shared.
