Sound Journey & Shamanic Cord Cutting with Leslie Lloyd & Ryan Heller
Join Ryan Heller and Leslie Lloyd for an evening of sound and ritual designed to support release and renewal.
In the Andean shamanic tradition, cord cutting is a ceremonial practice that severs energetic ties—known as hucha—that bind us to relationships, experiences, or patterns no longer aligned with our path. By cutting these cords, we honor what has been, reclaim our power, and create space for new vitality to flow.
This work will be guided alongside a meditative sound journey. Layered tones of crystal bowls, drum, and other instruments create an atmosphere for deep listening, stillness, and connection. Within this soundscape, participants are invited to enter a receptive state where healing, release, and integration can unfold.

This is a ten-month course where you will learn the Path of a Shaman in the Andean tradition.

I couldn't be more excited for my First Christmas Tree Sale Season. Margie [Grandma] and Peggy [GG or Great Grandma] were both huge fans of the holidays, especially Christmas. I have fond memories of going out to the local garden & nursery center, selecting the perfect tree and all decorate together.

Free Lecture / The Art of Tropical Interiorscaping with horticulturist Raymond Carter
We are excited to introduce The Margaret Clevelands’ horticulturist, Raymond Carter. He has a passion for Tropicals and will be sharing his love for their use in interiorscaping and how to keep them healthy in your home! Join Raymond for this free sharing from 2:00PM — 3:00PM.
Raymond Carter is a graduate of the accredited Professional Horticulture program at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, where he also worked for four years in the tropical display houses. During an internship with the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, Scottland, he was trained in collections management and conservation of critically endangered species. He has worked with plant species from around the world. In addition, he worked and trained at Mount Cuba Center, a public garden in Hockessin, Delaware, that focuses on the beauty and ecological importance of native species in garden design.
He has taught courses on many topics such as propagation, plant identification, evolutionary adaptation, and design. Ecology, plant pathology, and greenhouse management are other areas of expertise. For the past two years, his passion and knowledge were put to good use in revitalizing the unique Ladew Topiary Gardens, a historic public garden in Monkton, Maryland.
We are excited to have Raymond as part of the team and eager to share his expertise with us all.

Join our Founder and Creative Director of The Margaret Cleveland Christopher Heller for his Fall Container Classes during our HARVEST FEST which is October 5th from 1pm — 2pm. He will showcase creating containers for the Fall Season with a live demonstration on tips and tricks then allow you time to create your own to take home. Bring your favorite container, buy one of ours and allow us to help you curate a container that showcases you and your home for the season. This is a free class, the cost is based on the materials used.

Join us for a free discussion and workshop on seed saving led by University of Maryland Master Gardener Robert Cook. Learn how to identify when seeds are ready to harvest, how to process seeds and how to store them for next year’s crop.
During the workshop we’ll gather seeds from our 1,000 square feet of raised garden beds at our Walther Gardens & Nursery location. Gather seeds both our cut flower beds and vegetable gardens. Once collected we will prepare them and package them to take home for next year’s growing season.

Friday Night Summer Series
We are excited to announce the kick off of our Friday Night Summer Series.
Summer is heating up and we are exited to bring you all more ways to enjoy Summer Nights. Starting this Friday, July 5th we will be kicking off Pizza, Movies & Snowballs in the Garden. As many already know we have teamed up with Jane and Gerry of Heart in Hand Bread to make our real ingredient Sweet Treats for The Peggy and now will be bringing their amazing Pizzas to the Gardens as well.
Starting July 5th they will be kicking off Summer Pizza Night Pop-Ups. Enjoy Artisan Sourdough Pizza, House-made sauce, fresh ingredients made to order with love from 5:30-8PM. Enjoy Pizza, a Snowball and a Movie with us and enjoy the Summer evening together. Movies will start around 7:30/8, based on light. Be sure to bring a chair or blanket and gather together for some Summer Fun.

We are honored to host our fellow plant lover and Baltimorean, Hilton Carter plant and interior stylist, best-selling author, and artist @hiltoncarter for an evening of conversation and plant propagation demos at our Walther Gardens & Nursery location.
Carter delves into best propagation methods, necessary tools and different considerations by type of plant. Follow along as he demonstrates his own plant propagation methods and then learn expert tips and tricks as he opens the floor for your questions.
Following his talk and demonstration, Carter will sign copies of The Propagation Handbook.
