We are so happy to have Mia Luz back at The Margaret Cleveland!
Experience the sacred act of birthing your own medicine drum in this ceremonial, hands-on workshop guided by Mia Luz. Drum making is approached as a ritual of creation — honoring the animal whose hide is used, the tree that forms the frame, and the life force woven through all things.
Rooted in ancient traditions, this process is a journey of self-reflection and re-alignment, offering space to witness the unraveling and re-weaving of your own heart-song and spirit path. Participants will work within the container of the medicine wheel and allow the drum to emerge through intention, presence, and reverence.
Participants can create their choice of a 14", 16", or 18" round horse-hide drum, crafted with a salvaged yellow cedar frame and accompanied by a handmade mallet.
